I believe that I am qualified to serve on the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court because I have tried to take advantage of all of the opportunities Virginia Tech has to offer since my first year. If I were selected Homecoming King I would strive to continue spreading all of the positive aspects of this university that makes it so unique. As Homecoming King, I would work closely with the Queen to ensure that all students, departments, and organizations of Virginia Tech are represented and applauded for all of their accomplishments. I would take a personal interest in reaching out to all new and existing Hokies to connect them to the university and all of the great traditions that Virginia Tech proudly calls their own. As Homecoming King I would use my 'never quit' attitude to be the most active Homecoming King this university has ever had.

    Alex was born on October 13, 1988 to Tony and Regina Miller in Baldwin, MD. He has three older siblings, (Jason-27, Chris-25, and Beth-23). Alex attended Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD. While there Alex got involved playing soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and running track and field. He also found himself as President of his sophomore and Junior classes, and eventually become the Student Body President his senior year. Alex was involved with the Dance Committee and National Honor Society as well. Alex is a business management major with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology, and a business leadership minor. Alex plans to graduate in May of 2010 and shortly thereafter start working in some capacity as a project manager and possible entrepreneur.
